Export

Download invoices, invoice lines and customers as CSV, and invoices as PDFs.

Everything in the business at once: for backups, your accountant, or moving to other software. The key needs the data:export permission, plus invoice:read or contact:read for what it exports.

  • CSV files stream as they're read, so they work however much there is. They're UTF-8 with a byte order mark, so they open in Excel, and text that a spreadsheet would run as a formula starts with '.
  • PDFs come in a ZIP, up to 200 at a time. Use from and to to take them a month or a year at a time; a 400 export_too_large says how many there are.
  • Every export is recorded in the activity log.

GET/v1/export/csv

Everything of that kind, oldest first, streamed as it is read. UTF-8 with a byte order mark, so it opens in Excel. from and to limit invoices and lines to those dated in that range (undated drafts are then left out). Also needs invoice:read for invoices and lines, or contact:read for customers. Recorded in the activity log.

Query parameters

    invoices: one row per invoice and credit note. invoice_lines: one row per line on them. customers: one row per customer.

  • fromdate

    The first date to include (YYYY-MM-DD)

  • todate

    The last date to include (YYYY-MM-DD)

Download issued invoices and credit notes as PDFs, in a ZIP

GET/v1/export/pdfs

The invoices and credit notes dated from from to to (drafts are left out), in invoices/ and credit-notes/ folders, named by number. Up to 200 at a time: for more, choose a shorter range (400 export_too_large says how many there are). The ZIP streams as each PDF is made, so a large one takes a while. Also needs invoice:read. Recorded in the activity log.
