API reference

VAT rates

The VAT rates your items and invoice lines use.

Every business starts with Ireland's rates: Standard (S, 23%), Reduced (R, 13.5%), Second reduced (R2, 9%), Livestock (L, 4.8%) and Zero (Z, 0%).

Rates are decimal strings between 0 and 1: "0.135" is 13.5%. A rate used by saved items can't be deleted.

List VAT rates, or get one by id

GET/v1/vat

query searches name and code.

Needs the vat:read permission

Delete a VAT rate

DELETE/v1/vat

Fails with 409 while catalog items use the rate.

Needs the vat:delete permission
